Chenbro holds groundbreaking ceremony for new factory in Chiayi Chenbro Micom (8210 TT), the leading server enclosure provider, held a groundbreaking ceremony at Machouhou Industrial Park, Chiayi, Taiwan on November 14, 2020. The new factory is expected to be completed by the end of 2021 and will adopt smart manufacturing to improve production efficiency. Chenbro will also actively promote industry-academic cooperation and create more local employment opportunities. Chenbro stated that in face of the challenges arising from the US-China trade tensions and the COVID-19 pandemic, it is critical that the company continues to strengthen its flexibility in operation and diversify its manufacturing base. Chenbro emphasized that China has long been its main manufacturing base. In the future, its two existing factories in China will continue to supply the fast-growing China local market, while the new Chiayi factory will focus on fulfilling customer demand from America and Europe. In addition, the new factory will integrate the company’s R&D resources in Taiwan, allowing it to offer timely adjustments in design, manufacturing and delivery tailored to customers' needs. It will also further enhance the flexibility of production capacity, technology, and human resources allocation for the company's global footprint. Looking ahead, Chenbro expects that the global server industry will continue to grow driven by 5G, AI, IoT, and cloud services, and its investment in the new factory is in anticipation of this trend.
