CHENBRO and Its Alliance Partners Showcase Grantley-based Barebone Solutions at GITEX 2014
Taipei, Taiwan—October 6, 2014—CHENBRO will cooperate with its alliance partners to showcase a series of barebone solutions for Intel’s latest Grantley platform and network surveillance solutions at GITEX this year. Visitors are cordially invited to CHENBRO booth at D3-49, Hall 3 in Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai, United Arab Emirates during GITEX Technology Week, 12-16 October.
The so-called “Grantley platform” is Intel’s newly released Xeon E5-2600/1600 V3 processor family which adopts the 22nm Haswell-EP manufacturing process and supports the DDR4 RAM, providing superior performance and energy efficiency. The Grantley platform, as a result, is designed to fulfill the pervasive requirements for SDI (Software-Defined Infrastructure) in the market and is beneficial to the heavy computing users like enterprise and cloud & service providers.
Being Intel’s mechanical partner for over 15 years, CHENBRO’s been closely following Intel’s product roadmap, and its products are listed on Intel’s website as reference chassis year-round. The barebone systems in CHENBRO’s booth consist of those for computing node servers, storage servers, and corporate appliance servers, thanks to ASRock Rack’s provision on the motherboards and AcBel’s provision on the power supply units. The surveillance system, on the other hand, leverages on innovative software and 5 megapixel network cameras from 3S Pocketnet Technology. “We are delighted to have our valued alliance partners to join this event and introduce their state-of-art technologies to the Middle East users. We also include our distributors for prompt service for potential customers” said Mr. Andy Neo, senior manager of ROW sales department in CHENBRO.
For the computing node servers, the 1U and 2U high density 2.5” and 3.5” HDD chassis and single- and dual- processor thermally optimized motherboards together target the high-end data center segment, enhancing the system performance and saving clients’ energy bill. For the storage servers, CHENBRO chassis features its 12Gb/s backplane as well as its modular drive cage designs to mix and match flash and spinning disks for truly agile storage systems. The motherboards from ASRock Rack also support up to 4 Gigabit LAN ports for strategic deployment in tiered storage. For the corporate appliance servers, emphasis is put on the RAS functions and compact, rugged design of chassis and versatile expansion capability of motherboard for either commercial or industrial uses.
The network surveillance systems consist of both 16-bay rack mount and 4-bay tower form factors, while the former will be live-demonstrated for long-period recording with RAID protection. The four demonstrated IP cameras are highly engineered with intelligence video analytics, H.264 compression, and water proof, vandal proof dome design, ensuring users’ valuable assets under the most severe protection.
